So happy I'm old & 20th century. BMW have been expanding for 60 years & had record 2023, now (as they've done in the past with i3 & i8) they give their engineers & designers carte blanche to do something unprecedented that has NO competition in free market. Unfortunately they also have 40 million trolls, who can't have seen G90 & will never drive it, so bring on the hate! This car is stunning piece of work regardless, curious to see what actual lap times turn out to be.

RIP M5 1984-2023. You guys made this car 500kg heavier than the f90 and yet it’s slower. Everything is worse in this car. The screens are debatable, but the exterior is absolutely hideous. This is no longer an M car. Its heavier than the damn X7!! For crying out loud

I dont really care how it looks. As long as its got the 4.4L TT V8, I'll keep buying the new M5 for years to come. Also i really think that design will grow on just about everyone. Say what you want but think about it, in the future, we will all look at that one day and decide we want one because of how it looks and how it goes with the stunning technology of "back then." Like we all did with the E60 M5. Imagine a Turbo-Hybrid V10, it would make both worlds happy I reckon. Edit: Actually scrap the hybrid idea. Ive had a look at the comments and have forgotten about the weight of an elephant this car has. That extra 500kg is all because of that dang hybrid system. You guys arent really saving the planet or fuel economy by making them damn things. I say fuel economy, becuase of the weight it adds 😂 Sorry for the rant. Im just so disappointed with the new M5. I cant believe my dream car, the E60, has evolved into this thing.

i want bmw to make a beautiful new car so badly but apparently they just can’t. no evidence of talent or vision or connection with what made them great. fire the designers and hire me, i would create a new m5 that looks and feels like a retro-futuristic e39 and makes real bmw fans rejoice. a very sad era for bmw indeed. 😢💔

this is crap, you could have left a pure V8 without any batteries and the result would have been much better, but right now it’s just a fat barrel, you could at least once listen to your fans and make a powerful sedan and at the same time raise a lot of money for yourself and attract more buyers
